Aches & Pains of Student Athletes

As an athlete at Ithaca High School, I have a great asset. We have our very own strength and conditioning coach that works in our weight room and gives our athletic team workouts. As an athlete, I often suffer from a lot of soreness, and maybe the trainer can help that. In general, soreness can possibly lead to a decrease in performance, a loss of a match, or possibly even an injury. So today I’m going to interview our very own IHS strength and conditioning coach, Kelly Gordon.
I have heard of the common methods for dealing with sore muscles like taking an ice bath and getting a lot of electrolytes and salt back into your body. But I really wondered what physical things people could do in order to either prevent or get rid of their soreness.
